Let's make something worth hanging.
We work with two families exclusively each month. If you're interested in a session, you can book a consultation call directly or submit an inquiry and we'll be in touch.
Frequently Asked
QUESTIONS
How does the process work?
It begins with a consultation call, followed by a period of creative direction before your session. After your session we meet in person for your gallery reveal, where you select and order your artwork. The full process is outlined on The Experience page.
What do we actually receive at the end?
Every session ends with tangible artwork framed prints, bound albums, or a curated gallery wall. We don't deliver digital files or download links. Digital copies of purchased artwork are included with your order.
What happens at the creative direction stage?
Before your session we develop a complete creative brief — wardrobe direction, lighting references, and mood imagery — built specifically around your family.
How long does the whole process take?
From your initial consultation to receiving your finished artwork, most commissions are complete within eight weeks.
How far in advance should we reach out?
Availability is limited so reaching out early gives us the best window to do the work properly.
How do I find out about pricing?
Most families invest between $5,600 and $8,000 in their finished artwork.
Do you shoot on location?
All sessions take place in our Toronto studio. The controlled environment is central to the visual language and quality of the work.
Can we choose our own wardrobe?
Wardrobe is curated as part of the creative direction process. Before your session we'll gather a sense of your family's style, the brands you wear, the aesthetic you live in, and build a wardrobe direction from there. You arrive ready to be dressed, no packing or wrinkles to iron.
Do you work with newborns or very young children?
We work with toddlers and up. This allows us to create the kind of intentional, directed work that Kin & Co. is known for.
What if my kids won't cooperate?
We're not chasing perfect smiles. As a father of twins Samuel knows firsthand that kids don't perform on cue and honestly, the unguarded moments are always the best ones. The session is relaxed, directed, and built to roll with whatever the day brings.
Where does the session take place?
Sessions take place at our lovely Toronto studio in the heart of Leslieville.
